Transwire was founded in 1975 and is today one of the largest manufacturers of magnet wire, rectangular and shaped conductor products in Africa.

The company employs approximately 150 people and utilises modern production facilities and up to date testing equipment to ensure that the quality of the outgoing product remains of the highest standard. Transwire received the SABS ISO 9002 mark in 1988.

Transwire's quality is continually benchmarked against the best of international practice.

Transwire's markets in Africa include the traditional electrical repair industry, the automotive, lighting and transformer markets.

Training programmes are in place to ensure the continuous development of our employees.
